Safe Hands is a speculative digital legacy platform designed to manage and transfer personal digital assets — photos, voice memos, messages, decision logic, and biometric traces — after death. The project reimagines inheritance not as material wealth, but as data, memory, and relational presence.

Its purpose is to question who owns our digital selves, and how intimacy, identity, and agency persist within networked systems once the body is absent.

I rapidly prototyped the platform through iterative "vibe coding" — building a functional web-based system that simulates secure data vaults and controlled access permissions. Using Loveable for rapid UI scaffolding, Cursor for logic refinement, and Vercel for instant deployment, I moved from concept to working interface in days rather than weeks.

Supabase handled authentication and real-time data, while Make.com connected backend triggers to automated communication workflows. Every design decision was a test of how ethical questions translate into technical structures.

Safe Hands operates as both product proposal and critical design experiment — exploring digital legacy as infrastructure rather than afterthought. The working prototype demonstrates how a platform can hold the weight of human memory: structured, transferable, and controlled by the person who generated it.

The project raises a question that technology has so far refused to answer cleanly: what happens to your digital self when you are no longer present to manage it?

Safe Hands outcome

In the future I plan to progress this project to a level where I can launch it on the app store.
